Having your skin examined by one of our cosmetic specialists is the first step in the journey to healthier, clearer, and more youthful-looking skin. A team member at Essential Aesthetics and Laser will evaluate your skin during an exam at our Charlotte, NC office before selecting a chemical peel treatment for your unique skin needs. What to Expect from a Chemical Peel
Your skin will be assessed to determine which chemical peel you should have to achieve the results you desire. Before the procedure starts, Lori will cleanse your face. She will then apply a chemical solution to your skin where you might feel a mild stinging sensation. After the treatment, you will need to wear sunscreen and use moisturizer. Depending on the level of the chemical peel you have, you should expect the treated area to peel and itch from a few days to 2 – 3 weeks. Please be sure not to pick or scratch the peeling skin off as you may cause scarring. Once your skin has healed, you should notice a more even tone with a radiant glow.

I have been coming to Essential Aesthetics for a year now. I moved to Charlotte from New Orleans and I was very hesitant about trying a new laser spa. My consultation with Lori was amazing. She made me feel very comfortable and answered all of my questions. As an African American woman a lot of laser places don’t cater to my skin type. Essential Aesthetics definitely does! For 20 plus years I have suffered with Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS), therefore I have a lot of scar tissue and ingrown hairs. Since starting my laser journey my I don’t get ingrown hairs anymore. My laser technician Faith is spectacular!!! She is so genuine and passionate about what she does. If I have questions or concerns she has no problem answering them. She gives her honest opinion on what services I truly need. Thank you Faith! I can’t wait to get my first chemical peel next week. The front desk staff are extremely friendly and very welcoming.
